Dogs are smart, and according to one author Stanley Coren,
some breeds are smarter than others. He recently wrote a book
called The Intelligence of Dogs where he ranks
dogs according to how quickly they learn certain training
techniques.
Some people may argue what is the best way to determine how
smart a dog is? Measuring how long the dog takes to learn a
certain training technique (counting repetitions) is one of
those ways, so until we learn to communicate better with dogs
this might be the best way for now.

variations within the breeds do different breeders in different
regions of the world.
